1. Data Sovereignty & Privacy

FactLockCam is built on a zero-knowledge architecture. We do not track, profile, or monetize your personal information. Our systems are designed so that we never have access to your unencrypted files, cryptographic keys, or private data.

2. Authentication and Identity

Your email address is used exclusively to generate a unique identity record. This enables you to anchor digital certificates to the Polygon blockchain without centralized account management beyond authentication. We do not use your email for marketing, and it is never shared with third parties.

3. Zero-Knowledge Architecture

FactLockCam operates on a strict zero-knowledge principle. All cryptographic operations and file encryptions occur locally on your device before any data transmission. We cannot see, access, or recover your files or private keys. Your unencrypted data never leaves your device except when you explicitly export or share it.

4. Local Encryption & Secure Storage

Assets are encrypted on-device using AES-GCM before being stored in the protected archive on your device. FactLockCam manages cryptographic keys using the device's native hardware security modules (iOS Keychain / Secure Enclave where available). These keys are never transmitted to or stored on our servers.

5. Public Ledger Integrity

When you certify a file, only a mathematical hash (SHA-256) is sent to the Polygon blockchain. Your filenames, identity, and actual file contents are never exposed on the public ledger. The ledger serves only as an immutable timestamped proof of the file's integrity.

6. Data Protection and AI

FactLockCam does not share your data, files, or identity with third-party AI or machine learning services. All file hashing and processing are performed locally on your hardware to support maximum data privacy.

7. Non-Custodial Security Policy

Because FactLockCam is non-custodial and operates on zero-knowledge principles, we do not store your encryption keys or credentials. Consequently, we cannot reset passwords or recover accounts. Users are solely responsible for maintaining access to their credentials and backing up their encrypted assets.

8. Location Data

When you grant location permission, FactLockCam displays live GPS coordinates on the camera viewfinder for forensic metadata capture. Location readings are embedded in your local capture workflow and are not uploaded to our servers unless you explicitly include them in an exported proof bundle.
